I'm so grateful that this, and at least one more Harry Carey film, has been added to Internet Archive. They used to appear on early TV Saturday matinees, and I always liked Carey — along with Tim McCoy, Ken Maynard and their like — because they were fast and entertaining. They had more interesting plots.
Like George "Gabby" Hayes, Carey acted onstage before climbing onto a horse. That's why his acting wasn't stiff as in the cases of some others. Though Carey was from the East, he loved the western states, owned a ranch and collected cowboy lore.
It is my hope that more of his films and other early 30s westerns make it to IA. For more about Carey visit the following sites:
